My first day

I was so excited to start my trip, and I am so excited to tell all of you about my adventures. I stopped in Sacramento to get my hair cut so I would look nice for all my pictures. My Uncle Mike cut it for me. Uncle Mike has more pictures on him than I have in my house. Do you know what those pictures are called?  Sacramento is the Capitol of our state. It is where the governor lives and all the people that make our state laws.

I drove through the Sierra Nevada Mountains. They are very tall and had lots of snow on them. The snow next to the road was very dirty from all the cars driving by so I did not get out to play. I spent the night in Reno at a place where grown ups go to play. I did not go inside. In the morning I got out of my cosy bed and went for a pretend ride on a baby Mustang statue. Mustangs are wild horses that Spanish soldiers brought here 100's of years ago and now they run free in the mountains and valleys.

Next I went to a candy factory called the Chocolate Nugget. A nugget is a little chunk of gold that miners and prospectors dug out of the ground. They also used pie pans to scoop up nuggets in the streams and rivers.
 There was a giant statue of a miner there. I climbed up on him. Can you find me? Then I tried to look in a jelly bean mixer but it was old and empty. The store was not open so I could not get any candy. I think candy would be better than a nugget. It was Sunday and I went to Church in Carson City. The Church was on Lompa street so I looked for Oompa Loompas but I did not see any.

Then I went to theCapitol of Nevada. There was a sign that said,no dogs allowed, but it did not say No monkeys, so I went in.  I am getting tired now so tomorrow I will tell you about rocks with writing on them. Hugs from Junior
