Hi kids, Therewasalot of rain when we gotto Billings Montana. We stayed in front of friends home. They wanted me to sleep inside but I did not want Cmor to be all alone. I went to see the shoe of the tallest man in the world. His she would beanout as long as 4 of your shoes lined up. It was a size 32. He was 8 feet 11 1/2 inces tall. I don' think he would have been able to stand up in ypur classroom. He would have to visit in your multi purpose room. Next we drove to Pompey's pillar. There were two explorers that Peesident Jefferson sent all the way across our country to find new rivers ands roads so the pioneers would know how to travel. They had Indians to help guide them. One Indian Lady was named Sacajawea and she hada little boy named Pompey. They found a big pillar of rock and named it for him. Clark carved his name in the rock along with other indians and pioneers. They have lasted for a long time. It is covered with bullet proof glass now so no one can wreck it. I climbed up over 200 stairs to see where the names were. Then I went to the visitors center to learn more. We are now ar the edge of Dinosaur country. In the center was a long tyranasaurus rex tooth tht Clark found. He thought it was a big fish bone. I would not like to brush that everyday. I tried on a buckskin and it was very heavy. Then I sat in a small bullboat made from bison skin and sewws with their sinews to a frame. When the fur got wet it helped hold the boat up. I saw a mountain lion that had been hit by a car. His skin was very soft. There were other animals too and a rattlesnake skin. I went to a battlefield called Little Big Horn where there was a big fight over 100 years go between Indians and Soldiers who wntes the same land. It is now a National Cemetary with tombstonea where the soldiers and Indians died. It was a sad place. They were all very brave. I sw lots of wild horses and tipis, It was bery windy there and Cmor would not let me get out. He ws aftid I would blow away. He is a good friend. I will write again tomorrow. Today we are trying to get to North Dakota. Maybe I will see a dinosaur. hugs from Junior
